GIPPSLAND DISTRICT SILVER CAMP
Active members from Woodside Beach, Seaspray, Lakes Entrance and Mallacoota Surf Life Saving Clubs are invited to register and participate in the 2010 Gippsland District Silver Camp, a 6 day live-in development camp open to active members of Gippsland’s Surf Life Saving Clubs.
The camp is being held over the school holidays at Lakes Entrance from Friday Sunday 19th – Friday 24th September 2010. In order to participate candidates must be:
*Current financial Members of their club
*Hold a Bronze Medallion
*Over the age of 17 (for the full 6 day program)
*Over the age of 16 (for the 6 day program)
*If aged 18 + hold a current working with children check
Over the 6 day course participants will complete the following awards:
*Basic Beach Management
*Senior First Aid
*Advanced Resuscitation Techniques (including Defibrillation & Suction)
*Spinal Management
This camp is designed to replace last year’s pre-season weekend courses and is an important stepping stone to becoming an Instructor, Patrol Captain, or Life Guard. This camp is being run jointly by training officers, instructors and assessors from Woodside Beach, Seaspray and Lakes Entrance Surf Life Saving Clubs. Want to know more?
